Cast Iron Filter is a bluegrass folk rock band based in Davidson, North Carolina. Formed at Davidson College in 1998, the band toured throughout the United States until going on hiatus in 2005.
The band released five albums during its existence, including Paradise in Palestine (1998), Further Down The Line (1999), This Ugly Town (2001), Live From The Highway (2002), and Falls of Rough (2004).
